Pleasure has an “unmatched flair for synthesising seemingly disparate elements into a cohesive musical statement.” (Pizza express live, 2020).

“One of the greatest multi-instrumentalists of his generation.” (Club 606, 2020)

“He’s pretty special.” (The List, 2021)

“Pleasure proves that jazz can still be made which is smooth yet textured, is varied and interesting and can appeal to wide range of ears… Superb and essential.” (Soul Express, 2020

Morris Pleasure is a generational talent who, grew up learning the piano, trumpet, drums, guitar and even the violin. He got his first big brake during the mid 1908s where he became a member of Ray Charles’ Orchestra, where he played bass. He then moved into studios where he’d done work with Christina Aguilera, George Duke, Dianne Reeves and many other top musicians. In 1993 Mo joined the internationally successful Earth, Wind & Fire, becoming their director a year later. Mo’s debut album, Elements of Pleasure, was released in 2006 where it was widely received to critical acclaim. This album has established Mo as a solo artist, increasing his following as a producer and multi-instrumentalist. In 2009 he was the keyboardist for Michael Jackson’s highly anticipated “This Is It” tour, although the tour never came to fruition, its testament to Mo’s ability if he was selected to tour with the king of pop himself. Since his return to the live music scene he’s performed at PizzaExpress Live and the Karma Sanctum Hotel. His performances are an insight into the world of jazz, funk and groove.

He returns with a band of musicians at the top of their game; Mike Brown- guitar, Jamie Michael Harris- saxophones, flute, EWI: Luke Smith- keyboards, piano, bass & Josh McKenzie- drums. Keep an eye out for Mo’s special guests who consist of UK rising star Louise Golbey US prodigy Ivy Chanel. Mo has become a rich part of the 606 club culture blessing them with his music on more than one occasion. He describes his music as a selection of originals as well as his favourite classic funk, soul and grow songs. The performance will keep you on your toes as Mo transitions from one genre to the next, along with frequent instrumental changes.
